SUNDAY LESSON SERIES

The following 5 weeks we will be presenting a series, “BACK TO BASICS”: The 5 Unity Principles.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 22ND with Ray Stoffel

1. God is absolute good, everywhere present.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 29TH with Cybie Mauro

2. Human beings have a spark of divinity within them, the Christ Spirit within.  Their very essence is of God, and therefore they are inherently good also.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 5th

3. Human beings create their experiences by the activity of their thinking.  Everything in the manifest realm has its beginning in thought.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 12th

4. Prayer is creative thinking that heightens the connection with God Mind and therefore brings forth wisdom, healing, prosperity, and everything good.

SUNDAY FEBRUARY 19th

5. Knowing and understanding the laws of life – also called Truth – are not enough.  A person must also live the Truth that he or she knows.

CLASS:

To delve deeper into the Unity Principles there will be a class facilitated by Cybie Mauro on Tuesday evenings, January 24 - February from 7 -8:30pm in Fellowship Hall

The Greening of Unity

As part of our intention to be more GREEN, we have gone bulletin-free at our Sunday services. Our announcements are conveyed weekly in this format, with a few hard copies available at the service. This effort compliments our efforts to become more efficient in our work, mindful of our actions, and good stewards of our resource.

Please Enter the Sanctuary Through the Red Doors After 11:10am on Sundays

Five Basic Principles of Unity

1. There is only one God. God is absolute good, omnipresent (always present) and omnipotent (all-powerful).

2. God is Spirit. Human beings have a spark of divinity within them, the Christ spirit within. Their very essence is of God, and therefore they are inherently good also. God is neither male nor female, but is Spirit and resides in everything (people, animals, trees, soil, and even the air we breathe). God is present in all people, not just some. Jesus Christ obtained the fullest expression of God. He is the example, not the exception.

3. Thought dictates action. Human beings create their experiences by the activity of their thinking. Everything in the manifest realm has its beginning in thought.

4. Prayer is a direct link to God. Prayer is creative thinking that heightens the connection with God-Mind and therefore brings forth wisdom, healing, prosperity and everything good.

5. Daily practice. Knowing and understanding the laws of life--also called the Truth--are not enough. A person must also live the truth that he or she knows.
